Whether it’s a birthday party, bucks night, work function or just a get together with mates, barefoot bowls is a great way to spend the day. The NFBC is fortunate enough to enjoy one of the largest inner city bowling greens in Brisbane and can cater for groups of up to 100 bowling at one time. All bowls sessions come with a demonstration and coaching by one of our bowls enthusiasts who will be more than happy to show you their secrets.

You Asked, We Answered
How many people to a rink (lane)?
Anywhere from 1 person to 8 people can bowl on each lane. However if there is a group of 10 and they all wish to play together, we can squeeze 10 to a lane without much difficulty.
We aren’t sure how many people are coming for bowls?
This is a common scenario. Simply book for how many people you know are definately turning up, and if more people turn up on the day, and room permits, you just pay for the extras at the bar.
Can children bowl?
Yes. The NFBC is very family friendly and has smaller bowls for the young bowler.
What happens if it rains?
The clubs greens have a very good drainage system so it would have to be consistently heavy for bowls to be cancelled. If you are unsure, feel free to keep in contact with the club by phone and they will be happy to keep you updated about the state of the green.
