TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Terms and conditions

By paying your deposit you accept these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy of New Farm Bowls Club Inc. Where no catering deposit is required the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still apply. The Terms and Conditions are also displayed on the Clubs website.


1. Deposit

An invoice will be issued upon booking for all events requiring catering. A deposit of $100 is required to secure your booking. For bookings over 50 persons, $500 will be requested.


2. Payment

Final numbers and full payment (balance of invoice) is required 3 working days prior to event. For large groups, payment may be required 7 working days prior to event. Changes to numbers after this time must be approved by Club management.

Payment can be made by cash, credit card, eftpos, direct deposit and company cheque. Amex accepted with 3.5% surcharge.


For bookings in October, November and December final numbers and full payment will be required 7 working days prior to the date of your event.


3. Bowling

Our 2-hour bowling session times are as follows:

  • Day-time: 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm

  • Night-time: 5pm-7pm, 7pm- 9pm (October - March)


Group bowls bookings are charged at a per rink price. Each rink is $80 and accommodates a
maximum of 10 bowlers. You will be given instructions and rules on how to play before you
begin from the bowls co-ordinator.
After your session you are free to move either to the inside of the club or tables outside not
occupied. Please note that we run back-to-back bowls sessions which requires you to
vacate your allocated area at the conclusion of your bowls session. We welcome you to
pre-book a space before or after your bowling time to guarantee your group a reserved
area.
When visiting New Farm Bowls Club: no shoes are to be worn on the green, no food or drink
is permitted on the green, and you must not sit on the edge of the green.



4. Cancellations

Notice of cancellation made 8+ days prior to event will receive a full refund of deposit.
Cancellations made 7 days prior will receive 50% of deposit. Cancellations made after this
time will forfeit deposit. If cancellation is made by the Club due to unforeseen
circumstances, a full refund of the barefoot bowls component can be received. In the event
of rainy weather, the club will remain open for you to enjoy the Bistro’s delicious food and
the company of your guests in our undercover seating areas. Bowling is still possible in the
rain however, for your convenience, the money you have put forward for the bowls
component of your event can be turned into a bar tab on the day. Alternatively, you are
welcome to reschedule your booking to a future date.


If cancellation is made by the Club, due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the full amount of the barefoot bowls component will be refunded. Catering cannot be cancelled due to weather and payments for the catering component cannot be refunded. The Club is still open for you to enjoy the great food and the company of your guests.

5. Event Timing and Restrictions

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their planned event runs on time. The Club will not be held responsible when guests are not punctual for the event. When barefoot bowls starts late, the specified finish time will still apply. Please ensure you move from the green and vacate tables promptly at the end of your specified time to allow for a change over to the next group.


Please try to arrive at least 15mins before your event starts.

6. Minors

New Farm Bowls Club is family friendly and welcomes children bowlers of 11 years and up. Children must be supervised at ALL times, and cannot leave the booked area without a parent or guardian. This includes going to the bathroom, bar area, and gaming room.
Alcohol will not be served to minors and proof of age will be asked for if necessary (failure to prove proof of age will result in refusal of service).
Children are not permitted on the green unless they are playing bowls with a supervised adult. These rules are strict, and staff are constantly monitoring these areas. As we are a licensed venue and located in a residential area, noise must be kept to a minimum.

7. Music

New Farm Bowls Club is only permitted to play amplified music outdoors in our Veranda as per Liquor Licensing restrictions.

8. Behaviour

New Farm Bowls Club is situated within the neighbourhood and we ask that you respect our neighbours both whilst at the Club and on departure. New Farm Bowls Club does not tolerate disorderly or drunken behaviour, and where this occurs patrons will be asked to leave the venue.

The Club expects all members, guests and attendees to act with courtesy and respect to other attendees and Club staff.  Abuse and intimidating behaviour is not acceptable and if this occurs the Club may take action to suspend or ban such attendees from attending the club in the future and for members, disciplinary action such as suspension of membership may be invoked.

9. COVID 19

We are a COVID safe venue with an approved industry COVID plan. You must ensure you register with our COVID safety officer at the main entry by scanning our QR code and filing in the requested details; failure to do so will result in refusal of entry. In line with current Government regulations, QR code scanning is the only permitted method of attendance registration.

The Club, all members, guests and attendees are required to comply with government rules and regulations that apply on the date of your event.

We have placed sanitisers around the clubhouse including the toilets and main entry for your use.

The maximum allowed in the smoking area is 5 persons, once you have extinguished your cigarette please move on, the smoking area cannot be used as an area for long periods and food is not permitted.

The gaming room has a maximum of 5 persons also and minors are not permitted in this area.

We encourage you to practice social distancing and if you are unwell, in the safety of yourself and others please do not visit our venue.

PRIVACY POLICY

The New Farm Bowls Club is committed to safeguarding the privacy of the personal information you have supplied to us. The Club will use the personal information to process your membership application and to provide facilities and services to you. The Club will be unable to offer you membership or access to facilities and services if you do not supply the required personal information. The Club may also use your personal information for related purposes or for direct marketing communications with you.
