Coaching
Bowls has broad appeal, is a game for people of all ages and abilities and can be played on equal terms by almost anyone. It does not require special strength or athletic ability. We know that many potential members may be apprehensive about taking on a new sport in which they have never participated. For this reason, the Club runs a comprehensive coaching program to assist new bowlers. This is done on a voluntary basis by understanding experienced bowlers with Bowls Australia coaching accreditation. In around three or four one-hour sessions our coaches can teach all the fundamentals to allow newer bowlers to participate with confidence. This coaching program is provided by the club on a no obligation, no charge basis and is a key feature of our support to attract new members with no previous bowls experience.
As well as coaching on bowls techniques, our comprehensive personal coaching program includes advice on an introduction to lawn bowls, bowls selection (there are different sizes and weights), bowls etiquette and common bowls laws.
