ABOUT NEW FARM BOWLS CLUB INC

Our Background

New Farm Bowls Club Incorporated is an incorporated association and has been operating in its present location since 1907. New Farm is the fifth oldest bowls club in Queensland.

The club is  affiliated with Bowls Queensland and Brisbane District Bowls Association. As a result there are many bowlers and other members of affiliated clubs in Queensland who are able to enjoy the facilities of the Club.

Today, New Farm Bowls Club plays an important role in the local community. Members Bowls and Barefoot Bowls are the backbone of the club but we also host weekly events such as Trivia and Music nights. The Club was extensively renovated in 2020 and now has a separate function room which can be used for Corporate and Community meetings, christenings, wakes, and parties - accommodating groups from 6 to 150.

New Farm Bowls Club is an ideal venue for family and social gatherings with a relaxed vibe and excellent bar, pokies and dining facilities. The Bistro specialises in catering for all functions and 21sts, bucks and hens nights are very popular.

We are ideally located in Brunswick St (adjacent to New Farm Park) and the 196 Bus route stops right at the Clubs entrance.  It’s only a 2-minute walk from the New Farm City Cat terminal, so public transport access is easy, frequent and reliable.  For those travelling by car there is ample close by parking in Brunswick St and Lower Bowen Terrace where the Club can be accessed via an easement walkway.
